Do you accept insurance?

Absolutely.  We believe that benefits provided through insurance are important in helping to manage the out of pocket expenses related to our health care.  We accept most insurance plans, and we will help you understand and maximize your benefits.  We also will handle the claim filing process for you.  At this time, we do not participate in HMO or medicaid plans.  Call our office coordinator, 206-244-4545, for more information.

Will my insurance cover the cost of my treatment?

Many plans pay 100% of the cost of preventative procedures.  However, benefits available vary widely based on the plan that was purchased for you.  Our office manager will help you understand your plan, and provide estimates based on your coverage.  Unfortunately, no insurance plan covers all dental expenses. Many routine dental services are not covered by dental insurance.  Plan benefits and the types of procedures that are covered are determined by how much an employer elects to pay for the plan.  The less expensive the plan, the fewer benefits you receive. Sadly, in general, insurance companies have elected to decrease the number and type of benefits available to consumers, while increasing the cost of these plans at the same time.  We must take charge of our dental health and not let insurance benefits keep us from reaching desired or necessary health goals.

Yes.  We understand how disconcerting an unexpected event can be.  Many patients feel uncomfortable calling the office with an emergency, questioning whether the doctor and staff will feel a concern is legitimate or not.  Regardless of the situation, our position on emergencies in very simple:  If you think it is an emergency, then we do too.   We will find time in our schedule to see you as soon as possible.  Because we believe in family time, our practice hours are designed so that evenings and weekends are spent with family.  However, we also understand that emergencies happen at the most unexpected times. In the event of an emergency, Dr. Cooper can be reached after hours by calling the mobile phone number provided on the office voicemail system.
